Valuable Items
When you inform us of the contents of your mail before sending it, we can offer the appropriate service and inform you of Posti's liability. Only if you post money, securities or other valuables as insured items, will we assume responsibility for such items;.

Registered mail, excluding 2nd Class COD letters, will be delivered to the addressee's post office on the working day following its posting in the first instance.
ID verification
Under § 19 of the Postal Services Act, Posti has the right to enter the addressee's personal ID code in full, and the document from which the ID code has been taken or checked, in its delivery documents for registered mail. The personal ID code may be entered only in documents that remain at Posti, and no other identification data will be forwarded to other parties.
