Valuable Items
When you wish to send money or valuables, use the additional services designated for such items. Use an insured or registered delivery, ensure the recipient’s identity or use COD.
We can offer the right kind of service for your valuables and detail Posti’s liabilities when you tell us what your parcel contains. Posti can only assume responsibility for cash, securities or other valuables if they are sent as Insured Items.
Insured Item
Insured Items are transported according to specific security instructions and are only delivered to the addressee when a signature is provided.
Registered Parcel
Registered parcels will only be handed over when a signature to the addressee or a person authorised by the addressee is provided. They must always prove their identity.
Cash on Delivery
The addressee can only collect the item from a postal outlet by paying a sum determined in advance by you.
Record of Addressee’s Name
The signatory’s name is saved during registration of delivery in the item tracking system. Based on the item code on the address label, the sender can then check the name of the signatory.
