Friends of the Post Museum is an active association, established in 1997 for the purpose of supporting Museum functions, enhancing awareness of the Post Museum, promoting cooperation between enthusiasts and deepening knowledge of postal history

Tabellarius

Friends of the Post Museum Association publishes an annual called Tabellarius. This lavishly illustrated annual includes articles by experts on related topics and current issues. Tabellarius has been issued regularly since 1999. This publication, the price of which is EUR 25, is sent free of charge to all members of the Friends of the Post Museum Association

Activities of Friends of the Post Museum Association

The Association assists the Post Museum in various projects, such as sales stands at fairs or other events, and provides voluntary workforce to organise or accumulate the Museum’s collections or to maintain the Museum’s warehouses

The Association arranges interesting visits, trips and tours for members. These tours always feature a special programme. The Association’s tours include ones to St. Petersburg, Stockholm and Åland and day trips to places of interest for members, such as the Helsinki Post Centre, the Voutila Logistics Centre, Paletti, Hobby Hall, Sanomatalo, the City of Hanko and Postimerkkiliike Lauri Peltonen (philatelic shop), all of which have welcomed members with pleasure and presented their operations to them
